Marcella Norton-Williams Ashe
Born: July 11 195-
I am Marcella Norton Williams – Ashe , I have lived in Dayton, Ohio my entire life. I was born in the early 50’s, with an understanding that I am living out God’s plan for my life. Therefore I am confident that God cares for me. I am committed to his purpose for me. Norton is my maiden name. Williams is the last name of my first husband, he fathered my two sons: Timothy La Shawn Williams and Anthony Williams Jr. [illustrator for most of my work]. I am married to James Ashe Sr.
I am often asked why all of the names. My answer is that they all mean very much to me, each one has put healing into my disappointments. My real source of healing was inborn, planted in me by my wonderful parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Norton. Their strength empowered me to continue when everything seemed useless. My books ‘When The Red Brick Road Turned Yellow’ was inspired and written poetically about lifestyles. This book is an Author House publication. You can get this book by ordering from Amazon.com, or your favorite book store. The self published "Granny Says" was I feel, a solid direction from God to put some reading material in our children’s hands that reflect positive reading experience. Some really nice photos of African American children are provided in order to reinforce this important concept, as they relate directly to a child's formative years. My new release Those Hog Bottom Days, spoken poetically of, a juvenile book with poetic memories of yesterday, gracing where I grew up. Lifestyle changes from then to now poetically. Children 10-15 and adults will love this paperback.
My book “Granny Says" includes Bible references for the reader to complete each story with. I am thankful for all of the wonderful people that the Father has surrounded me with, because each one has played a part in my success; and yes, some of my failures are credited to some of the same people that pushed me to go on. I am truly grateful for the experience.
